The audio diary continues and we are off a half step. The super medicines
of my childhood... hot tomato soup and grilled cheese sandwiches don't help.
Fidgety dreams and bad traffic flip my mind. The first cup of coffee is
smooth. The rest rotten. No doubt a metaphor? Life and business take a toll.
Attention span stretches thin and then ping! Crowds reverse my direction
and the drapes close. No sense has to make sense. Who lives out there in
the blur? Who doesn't live in the blur? I gotta learn to enjoy the black
light backside of my eyelids. Relax, it takes a day to acclimatize from
579 feet above sea level. I can only vouch for my story. Uncle Jeff and
Ukulele Loki have their own explanations. Staring out into the snow. Avoiding the painful yodeling lifestyle. Floating thru folky interludes wondering more or less the same as Tom Rush and Dylan circa 1960's did, what can/will I do when I grow up? Is it too late to grow UP? Am I too old to grow... to grow UP? Decisions like this are best made at night, under the demon bottle's spell. The mood extents to the playlist. Giddyup Go, Casting My Lasso Toward The Sky, Where's The Money? 2000 Light Years From Home. And the absolute hot trak, Strange Enchantment. Yes, another title rendering today's atmuk-sphere. Looking forward to Paper Bird at the Larimer Lounge, April 5 (CD release) and Ukulele Loki and The Gadabout Orchestra (CD release) April 13 with Paper Bird at the Fox Theatre. Coming up May 8th, Willy Vlautin (from Richmond Fontaine) will be signing his new book, Northline, at the Tattered Cover. Details will be updated as data arrives. Webmaster recommended, Dead Meadow May 13th at the Larimer Lounge... it's a school night, but who cares! R.I.P. Charlie Ryan. More antics and true tales next week. Check the Denver/Boulder concert scene. |
