Strange truth swirls in my brain as the new year proceeds. Let's face it,
time is just time. Time never stops. Time wastes away while you hazily glare
toward the distance. Time goes on after you die. You may think time stops.
You are wrong. Your sub-directory of time ends. Your mind melts and turns
into dust while others go forward. Solicitors, bureaucrats, scammers and con men are throwing my time in the trash can. They didn't even ask if it was ok. By the way, it's not. It crossed my mind I still have lots to do. Determining the priorities is confusing. I'm referring to peace of mind time. The satisfying, creative and healthy time. The time when no matter what you cannot be lured away from your focus. In my office I've had this sticky note on the edge of my monitor and now I know why. The time is now. Red Cloud West is playing at the Falcon on January 12. Get Three Coffins Ready is playing the Bluebird on January 18th. Jason Isbell February 4 at The Fox Theatre. Ukulele Loki will perform at Swallow Hill's Ukulele Fest on February 9th. Drive-By Truckers February 22 at the Ogden and February 23 at the Fox Theatre. More of the Denver/Boulder concert scene. Thanks Eric for letting us pillage your record collection. Today's post-show new year's reunion at the Rio Grande. Mucho Gratis Mike. |
