Notes: |
7:15 a.m. the radio flicked on as my dreams ended with credits. Sweet relaxing
hallucination had me in a good mood. I loaded my gear and took off for the
coffee shop. I made a right turn and then my day went to pause as I looked
at a one way sign. It bothered me. It was big brother on a stick. I got
a few gulps of coffee and immediately drove against traffic, got out of
Golden to an open area of road and switched on the music as I hit a long
downhill run... pushed into a neutral coast sipping the coffee and eyeing
a freight on the track to the west. Man, I was back to normal. Flicking
through the music, replaying a tune and looking forward to another show. Today's hot trak was John Fahey's, "The Ballad Of Dorthy Gooch" on Takoma LP. When's the last time you heard that one? Probably never right? We also bid farewell to Freddy Fender, played an entire set by women artists and bantered politics. This is not clear channel, we do what we want. I avocate you look around and ponder the future. Neutralize the structure. Hello to Montana Tom in his logging truck and Zack above the city on a rainy Washington hill. November 11 catch the Hacienda Brothers at Bender's Tavern. |
