Route 78 West is happy to have got 71 watts during today's show. Thanks
to all our listeners for supporting 1190, The AM Revolution. If you didn't
get your pledge in today you can still donate by calling 303-735-ROCK or
contribute
online. Field Report: Caught Oakley Hall at the Larimer Lounge this past Monday and witnessed a memorable show. Oakley Hall's countrified trance pulsed through an hour of tunes from their latest 2 CD's, plus a few new songs. Harmonizing vocals coupled with first rate and at times medicinally raw instrumentation jogged my mind toward decaying Allman Brother's riffs on Volk's Tap jukebox, circa 1979, La Salle, Illinois.Lovely memories of cold beer conversations in hot summer evenings under the belt driven ceiling fans.Euphoric laments brought the small Larimer Lounge crowd close to the stage for a close up of Pat Sullivan's new-found sound. I enjoyed close contact with the performance and conversation with Rachel Cox. In another year's time the crowds will know of what I already consider a lustrous musical experience. Thanks to everyone who pledged. See ya next time. |
