Notes: |
I lost track of time. Incoherent with enthusiasm for a full week without
knowing it. A 9 day Seattle excursion left me strung out on merriment. Not
since waking up on a DeKalb
Greyhound Bus station bench have I been in such an interesting trip. 23
hours of driving terminated on a Green Lake culdesac and gave first glimpse
of Milkman Dan's new locality. The trip was part business for Uncle Jeff,
but all fun for me. Days spent at the Bumbershoot
Arts Festival. Nites took us into Seattle's neighborhoods... University
Hill, Ballard and Golden Garden. Milkman is the cultural instigator. He
animates the exploration of reality. His songs float in the breeze along
mechanical beats tempting animals to sing. Milkman you are on track. Thanks
for the experience. The reverse trip took routes near and to places of previous (1970s) ventures. Music, caffeine and junk food fueled the mind. Silence replayed details stored in memory and I reluctantly re-enter my reality... quick and apt. Shut off the cruise control we are home. Today's standout traks by Richmond Fontaine. Both untitled. Relaxing interludes aka Buddha Machine. Thanks Ukulele Loki and Danny for holding down the fort. See ya next week. |
