Notes: | I
noticed right off I was the only one who hadn't been awake all weekend.
Loki glided into the studio on auto-pilot. Uncle Jeff seemed semi-reckless,
fascinated with communists and non existent Saturday night rush hour. Fast
hair, slow body... avoiding back to back opposing keys and not worried much
about dancing volume meters since Ukulele Loki left for rehearsal. Theater
quick changes resemble Uncle Jeff's life... get in and out of "whatever"
quick. Hectic pace for the initial set of music... totally freelance, rummaging through LPs and the worst is over now? Well, there's always the next trak to pull you out of the hole. Unsettled tone till John Fahey brought a relaxing 70s karma over the production. Ditto Bruce Langhorne's futurist American Primitive... imported of course and elevating him to Bob Dylan side man. Ukulele Loki rolled back into the studio at 11:45 to assist this show to the "exit." All around agreement on today's hot trak, a fine barrel house tune, Dusty Williams', "Dusty's Boogie" on the highly acclaimed White Label. Our post-show reward awaited at Mustard's Last Stand. The fries bubbled in boiling grease as we sipped cokes and wondered how to get to Ipala. See ya next week. |
