Dear Okie-78 |

Notes: | 45 seconds is a lifetime
on Route 78 West. It's enough time to remember a fragment of a lyric or
a short riff. The best shows see Uncle Jeff riding the groggy line, grasping
a wad of CDs as Ukulele Loki strums a fresh tune while reviewing a recent
Akira Kurosawa movie between traks. Oh, My Sweet Carolina brings Ukulele Loki back to memories of a mid-day hungover, warm friendly and right on conversation with Ryan Adams at a long past CMJ. Uncle Jeff scurries at the board, cueing a trak and reassuring us of a soon-to-come spaghetti bass-line in Buckner's, "Do You Want To Go Somewhere?" Yes I do... and a "Classic Italian Soundtrack" was just right the place. Today's show featured Bill Black & His Combo filling in the background while Jon Rauhouse's, "Magnificent Seven," took the lead. Bloodshot's 11th aniversary CD fed the musical binge and as Uncle Jeff would say, "We are never paid to say this." Post show at the "Tavern," followed by some browsing in Bart's CD bins. See ya next time. |
