Notes:

An under current of Easter and bull fighting somehow sparked the lead trak, "Sodom South Georgia" by Iron & Wine. Uncle Jeff commented, "It's one of my favorites from the new album which is better that the first."

"The Christian Life" by the Louvin Brothers hit a religious nerve, then the boys got into some extended Mexican vacation stories. All I could hope was the religious traks could overpower the nasty Herb Alpert stuff which gave me the feeling I was on a 70's game show. "Sleeper Hold On Satan" and "I'm SAVED" got it done.

Loki's bullfight documentary equated the murder of a large mammal by a sword to a sort of ritual dance as described in the colorful flyer. Additional tales of animal murder led to the Chubby El Picadore who rode out on a padded horse and jabbed the bull to rouse a charge. Just the Easter story that Boulderites love to hear.

The show reconnected to its purpose with some tunes by Gene Autry. During the breaks Uncle Jeff and Loki bantered about board adjustments and the effects of compression on volume. I stared at my foot to amuse myself.

Jeff told of his trip through customs on the way to Mexico. His long beard and camo pants brought inquiries... "Are you an instigator... no?... then maybe a science professor?" And then to top that a sign, "Please apologize for the inconvenience." Oh geez, what the hell is going on down there?

Thanks to Andy for referring a Jolie Holland CD which echoed Lucinda Williams like vocals and totally loose horns. No post show to speak of. See Ya next week.
