Notes: | Danny stopped by for todays
show with a box-o-CDs under his arm. Uncle Jeff was still on vacation, so
Loki was happy to have some help. The show's beer house theme began to take
shape with Dim Lights, Thick Smoke, Loud Loud Music. You know the routine,
drinkin', playing pool, flirting, fighting and "Drivin' Nails"
in your coffin. If you listened closely you heard a cautionary musical tale
of spending too much time in the pool halls and honky tonks... and the sad
results of this Sick, Sober and Sorry lifestyle. The beer blast concluded
with Bubbles In My Beer at 5:49p.m. Hope the tunes didn't Drive You Crazy,
Drive You Insane. Johnny Cash's Get Rhythm was requested by a listener named Carson. The traditional Spaghetti Western was a Cosmonauti rendition of For a Few Dollars More. Playing any trak from For A Few Guitars More causes 1190's studio line to lite up... "What album was that tune from?" This week I finally updated the Route 78 West Links page with a hyperlink to the complete description of the Tribute To Spaghetti Westerns. A plea from the webmaster to play The Walkabouts, Home As Found began a migration to the more modern half of the show. A spew of live traks could be described as sporadic, but spontaneous would be more correct. The upcoming concert on July 24th by Richmond Fontaine and reunited Local 33 (BlueBird Theater, Denver 9:00 pm, 21+ Price: $9.00) prompted air-time for each. A just released trak by Jay Farrar and the final cut by Uncle Tupelo torqued down the hatches for Bob's Garage to follow. The return of Uncle Jeff is emanate. See you next week. |
