Notes: Right out of the chute Uncle Jeff pulled a fast one by playing Ray Wallace's demo, "That Man is Batman". Jeff had been previewing the Wallace demo all week in his ramblings and really took to the Batman trak. Agent Loki showed up late due to "vehicle problems". I'm pretty sure he has already used that excuse, but as usual I let it slide. Garbled frenzy danced from Loki's vocal cords after hearing Mud Slide Slim... "All I can picture is bald forty year old guys in golf shirts and their wives trying to dance sexy at some Florida mainstream radio convention".

Uncle Jeff took Loki's heat and continued the show with Lucinda Williams', "Fruits Of My Labor" and later played the rap-like, "American Dream" which got me thinking in a Kerouac state of mind. For me that's status quo and let's be honest, life is life and "Satan is Real". Jeff slipped in the evening's official blues trak, Fred McDowell, "That's All Right" and thought it a possibility to start an all Blues show. Loki's half smoked bus station cigar provided Uncle Jeff the illusion of being in a Chicago bus station... must be some sort of story there, but it never materialized. The fade from "I Am a Cinematographer" to the rare "Last Trip To Tulsa" proved that Uncle Jeff and Loki can mix and match songs with the best of them. Devotchka's, "The Obilvion" put out by Cicero Recording had just been released this past week with a show here in Boulder. Just for fun "That Man Is Batman" was spun again to end the show.

We quickly headed to Tom's Tavern for dinner and drinks served by the always
smiling Dee.
