Notes: | The show got started early
this afternoon at Uncle Jeff's home base in Wallstreet with a barbecue/musical
preview. With the annual KVCU pledge drive in full swing it was no accident
that the lead trak was "If You Got the Money I Got The Time".
About 11 minutes into the show the first pledge came in and the phones rang
consistently till 7 p.m. The show contained a great mix of vintage and alt from Uncle Jeff's record stash. Loki pulled a few tunes out of his top hat of which "Hawaiian Cowboy" from Hawaiian Steel Guitar Classics especially stood out. Sprinklings of the blues and surf kept the show's tempo alive and proved that Route 78 West is anything but "dysfunction on the radio". Thanks to our listeners for buying watts: Tom, Jeremy, Jim (thanks for the magazines too), Sven, Steven, Helen, Pete, Doc, Brian, Jeff & Susan, Lauren, Bonita, David, Eric, Catherine & Chris, Judd & Sarah, Brandon, Glen, Jane, James, Jenna, and Donna. A total of 140 watts were pledged. 6 watts or more got a one-of-a-kind Route 78 West compilation CD. Thanks to all. Background music by The Shadows. |
