Notes: | "Daylight
Savings Time is a crap shoot" so Loki thought it deserved a song,
"Daylight Savings", which he played. Well, we can all agree that
political songs are good, right? Early this morning Loki was stranded in
Denver following a social engagement and resourcefully played his ukulele
for bus fare... $6 in 15 minutes. It's a good feeling to have cash in your
pocket! The early morning time change seemed to have serious effects on
Uncle Jeff too, "Screw the shower today... keep the bed head".
Even more upsetting, Jeff later found a Herb Albert album in his record
collection and wondered just what the hell was going on? The recent Calexico show was great. We were expecting the full Mariachi band, but were not disappointed. The duel horns were exquisite throughout the show and must be heard in person to really get the feel. Destroyer ended up not playing the anticipated song, "The Temple". Something about the new band members not knowing it. Even so, Daniel Bejar does have talent. Pre-show review of newly acquired Yardbirds CD's, pork stew and cinnamon coffee. |
